so I recently purchased a yamaha dtx430k and i have added the extra cymbal. now my question is is there any way to expand to add more toms? i have reaserached a bit about people doing a drum spliter but have not seen or heard anything about someone doing it on this kit is it possible?

No so easy on this kit as it's missing MIDI IN. The lowest cost/best thing is to add another module (you can get DTX modules from £75+ second-hand), add the toms to that, then merge the audio.

Thanks for reaching out in regards to the DTX430K!

The only additional output you can utilize to add an extra pad is via the KP65 Kick Drum Tower unfortunately.

However, be sure to check out the new 402 and 452 versions!

The 452 comes with a 3 zone snare pad and kick tower, and you can swap out that 3 zone snare pad and utilize an XP Pad instead, and even add an additional pad via the KP65 Output.
